A Special Winter Solstice Gathering

The Monastery will be holding a very special gathering on The Winter Solstice, December 21st, starting at 10.30am and leading into The Hour of Silence between 12pm and 1pm in The Great Nave.

As many of you will know, just like Stonehenge, the great nave’s centre line is aligned on the winter solstice with the galactic central sun and the Pleiades.

This sacred gathering with music, ritual, and prayer – led by our team of spiritual leaders, interfaith ministers, and musicians – will lead into a powerful silent meditation, and be dedicated to bringing love and light into the world.

This is a free event and donations towards the upkeep of The Monastery and our Organ Appeal are always gratefully received *suggested donation £10*

Everyone is welcome but please register in advance so we can look after everyone properly.

Food and Drink on the day

Because this is the last day our café will be open for 2023, there will be a very limited choice available, and food must be ordered in advance. Choose from either:

• Soup of the Day (vegetarian and gluten free served with a bread roll) £4.50

OR

• Monastery Melt (cheese, onion & tomato with a side garnish) £4.50

A selection of cakes and freshly made teas and coffees will be available on the day.
