Join us for our bi-annual Manchester book fair, where the region’s book lovers come together under the magnificent roof of the Monastery’s Great Nave.
If you love books, beautiful architecture, quiet spaces, tables & chairs so you can sit & browse at your leisure AND hang out with other people who also love books, you’ll be in exactly the right place 
The dates for your diary are Sunday, April 27th and Sunday, October 12th, 2025, 10am-4pm, to inhale the intoxicating scent of ink on paper, and meet our book-loving tribe.
First held in 2019, this will be the event’s sixth year at Gorton Monastery. With around twenty dealers exhibiting for sale a wide range of secondhand, antiquarian and collectable books and ephemera there is sure to be much of interest to new and regular visitors.
Come along. Take your time, have a browse and take advantage of the cafe and (weather permitting) the garden, whilst supporting 40+ local and independent book sellers.
