Creative Life

Only in a place of imagination and magic can the impossible become reality. This is a place for film, the arts, music, singing, drama, dance, and digital ingenuity. Whatever your age, you can create your own future, with us.

Community Life

The Monastery is located in the heart of the great community of Gorton but is also at the centre of a global community built on the same values of love and respect. This is a place for everyone to come together, whoever and wherever you are.

Love Life

Love is the guiding light behind everything we do at The Monastery. And for all of us, a life of love makes us who we are, With family, with friends, with a partner, with a treasured pet. Love that is unconditional is a love that will never be lost.

Healthy Life

Taking personal responsibility for our own health is central to our vision. Our first series of augmented reality videos was created by and for patients, health care professionals and educationalists, and featured in an NHS video to share with nationwide Trusts.

Heritage Life

Respecting the past. Inspiring the future. Realising potential. Standing on the shoulders of those wiser than us, we continue the tradition of empowering craft skills, sculpture, stone masonry and wood carving. A place where history comes to life.

Learning Life

A place for all ages and stages, you can have fun and grow in knowledge and insight. In life we never stop learning, from history, from the wisest of teachers, and from each other. And we're creating exciting new ways of learning that will both amaze and delight.

We have an extraordinary agenda for all of our Life initiatives. For more information, email ray.hanks@themonastery.co.uk with an idea of your areas of interest.
