    How can I

    with us

We are always looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers at The Monastery who care about the site as much as we do. Volunteers make a huge contribution to The Monastery and their work is incredibly valued.
We have a variety of volunteering roles available, such as welcoming and engaging visitors, helping in the Café or Victorian Pantry, helping with our tours and talks programme, or asissting us with specialist projects. Please see the bottom of this page for information on our current volunteering opportunities or email steph.wilcock@themonastery for more information.

    Hold your event

By holding your event at The Monastery you will be supporting the work of the Trust to be able to safeguard the future of this important heritage site. Over the years we have been delighted to host some wonderful celebrations at The Monastery, especially in our spectacular Great Nave. Not only does The Monastery transform into the perfect space for any event, by holding or attending an event here you will be helping to support our work preserving The Monastery so that it can be enjoyed for future generations to come.

The Monastery is a charity, operated as a Building Preservation Trust, and relies on your support. No matter what the size, every donation to The Monastery helps us to be able to preserve the building for future generations to enjoy. The Monastery is completely self-funded and we rely on our visitors, customers and clients to support this important heritage site. If you would like to make a donation, please use the Donate Now button at the bottom of this page. If you are able to Gift Aid your donation, we would very much appreciate it. Thank you do much for helping us.

Your generosity will help us to continue to help others while protecting these precious heritage buildings.

We are currently fundraising for our St. Francis Appeal. Please help us to raise funds to open sculpture workshops on site as part of our new community project for traditional skills. Once we have opened our new workshops, work can begin on creating a beautifully carved St. Francis statue and our very own carved Nativity scene. To donate to our appeal, please click the donate now button. Thank you so much.
If you would like more information about legacies, sponsorship opportunities or to make larger donations, contact our CEO, Elaine Griffiths.
