The land of Albion has always been a special place, a land of giants, myths, legends & sacred history. Join Gill Harbach for a fascinating deep dive into this mythical land, so deeply connected with the history and folklore of Britain.
What is The Land of Albion?
William Blake, the mystic, sees it in his poem Jerusalem as “a green & pleasant land.” His words put to music became the famous Glastonbury hymn which you could say is our second national anthem.
In the 14th century, the land became the “Dowry of Mary” after a visitation of Our Lady was seen at Walsingham, Norfolk, and of course, we have the famous King Arthur & his Knights of the Round Table woven into our rich history too.
Albion is a land of many saints, Celtic & Christian, with St Joseph of Arimathea setting up the first church in Glastonbury & the mysterious Culdees, who brought the original teachings of the Essenes, the sect that Jesus belonged to, to our land.
About this talk
Under this sacred land there are many ancient waterways which reach the surface at holy wells & springs & a vast interconnected mesh of Earth energy lines which meet at sacred places, such as circles of standing stones & ancient monuments. These energy lines & water courses are the lifeblood of the Land of Albion, and have been guarded by well maidens & geomancers throughout time.
This talk will take you on a pilgrimage through this amazing history and in particular, highlighting these earth energy lines & water courses which literally carry the vital energy of our land, and have helped influence our rich & sacred history.
Who can attend the talk?
This talk is open to everyone with an interest & wish to celebrate in Albion, our “Green & Pleasant Land.”
Those who have previously attended Gill’s Earth Energy & Dowsing workshops at the Monastery, might find it particularly useful as well as experienced dowsers & geomancers.
