Join Patrick Wright each Wednesday, from 2.30pm @ the Sanctuary for a creative writing drop-in session. This will include an activity and a discussion of how creative writing can have therapeutic effects. There will also be an opportunity to read out and share your work. Please bring along a notebook and something to write with.
The writing group is free and anyone can join in. The group will meet every Wednesday until 22nd December, 2021.
About your teacher
Patrick Wright was born in Manchester in 1979 and has a published poetry collection, Full Sight Of Her (Eyewear, 2020). He has been shortlisted for the Bridport Prize, and his poems have appeared in several magazines, most recently Agenda, The High Window, and Wasafiri. He has been twice included in The Best New British and Irish Poets anthology (2018 and 2019), judged by Maggie Smith and Nick Makoha, respectively. He teaches English Literature and Creative Writing at the Open University and lives in Manchester.
