A series of somatic workshops exploring how we get stuck; from a deeper level perspective

Join us for this powerful series of workshops by Susan Roberts, designed to help you to understand yourself on a deeper, more somatic level, with the aim of helping you to flow through life with more ease and freedom to be who you truly are rather than from a place of stuck stress.

We’ll explore the mind-body-nervous system connection and how our reactions to life’s experiences shows up in them, and more importantly – how the above translates for you.

We’ll look at the impact on our energy levels, the connection with our subconscious patterning and how we get caught in vicious circles of all the above. We can feel like we are stuck carrying our reactions to life’s stressors, living life from that place rather than living our best life of true authenticity, freedom and growth.

The workshops can be taken as individual workshops, or you can journey through all of them.

Each full day workshop will include

A presentation in the morning, with self exploration and group discussion. In the afternoon, Susan will share a handout takeaway to aid further self exploration to begin to understand yourself on a deeper level, finishing with a closing meditation to soothe the nervous system and anchor the day’s outcomes.

Sunday workshop dates, 2024

10.30am-4pm

January 7th: How & Where Stress Gets Stuck: exploring how this shows up for you.

February 4th: Understanding the Nervous System: reactions & de-escalation.

March 3rd: Supporting the Nervous System: self care/self support & the importance of being able to connect with, and integrate changes.

April 7th – A whole day to focus on the physical body – understanding how our muscles become habitually contracted through not only our flight, fight and freeze response (back muscles in flight or fight brace yourself mode, front body protection/victim, whole body rigid) but also repetitive action (think here slouching over pc’s, phones, laptops). A practical day including somatic exercise movements to create freedom and ease from the above. This day will include recordings of the SEM movements covered.

Please note: there are only 10 places available for each workshop so pre booking is essential.

Do I need any special equipment or previous experience?

These workshops are open to all levels, no previous experience is required.

You’ll need a yoga mat or something to lie on, along with clothing that doesn’t restrict your movement – so yoga gear, leggings or similar. Jeans are NOT a good idea as they may restrict free flowing movement. Layers are good to be warm or cool to suit, including extra socks if your feet tend to get cold. We work at the speed of a sloth, so worry not, we won’t be working up a sweat! Bring a note pad or book so you can note down your “outcomes”.

How much do the workshops cost?

Investment in you: standard price for each (full day) is £65 per workshop
Early Bird price – booked and paid a month in advance just £55.00 per workshop
Take the journey – Commitment to all 4 workshops and pay just £50 per workshop (£200 in total – T&C’s apply)
Places must be pre-booked, as places are limited.
There is also an option for extra online support sessions in between the full day workshops at the discounted investment of just £20 to discuss what might have come up for you, support with working with the models & tools Susan shares, support with translating “your stuff” so you can understand yourself more.

How do I book?

What is Somatic bodywork & how will it help me?

Everything in life is inter-related and it is more important than ever to understand what could be causing us stress and trauma leading us to pain and discomfort.

Our bodies react to everything we experience and carry through life….physically, emotionally, mentally and energetically.

Whatever life throws at you, Susan will help you learn how to self-regulate, solve and soothe the issues and release anxiety levels so you can become more resilient and emotionally stable.

With a lifetime of experience using massage, aromatherapy, body awareness and somatic exercise movements – linking the physical with our subconscious holding patterns, Susan’s solutions are simple and life changing.

“It was a fantastic workshop Susan. Thank you.”

“You need to get this out to a bigger audience because what you say makes so much sense.”

“I feel more able to speak up and speak my truth.”
“I use the techniques on a daily basis and they help me to self regulate.”
“I took the information away, looked at my life and recognised I was living from a place of Drama and it wasn’t healthy not just for me but for family members too. I decided there and then – no more Drama, and to start doing things differently.”
“I recognized that I needed to value myself more, and do more things for me, because I am worthy of that too.”
