What’s on at the Monastery? Alongside our regular open days, we also run an exciting programme of events, activities, talks, concerts and performances. Autumn/Winter Opening Hours:
Open to the public Sunday, Monday and Tuesday (11am-4pm) throughout October and November.
Open on Sundays (11am-4pm) from December to February.
Victorian Pantry opening times differ and are Sunday to Friday (11am-4pm) throughout the year.
Special events take place at The Monastery outside of our Opening Hours - information on these events can be found by searching our event listing below.

Join us for our popular ‘Christmas Story’ event (also known as ‘Donkey Day’).

‘The Christmas Story’ event featuring carols and real live donkeys will take place from 2-3pm, but we will have festive activities available throughout the day from 11am-4pm.

Don’t miss this chance to get into the real spirit of Christmas with family and friends. Everyone welcome; free admission; refreshments available to purchase in the Victorian Pantry.
